The old Catholic cemetery (Alter Katholischer Friedhof) in Dresden is located in the Friedrichstadt district. It was founded by his Elector Augustus the Strong  in the years 1720-1721. It used to be located outside the city wall. The first to be honored buried here was the famous Italian comedian Carl Philipp Molteno.. He was buried in 1724. In September 1842, a chapel was consecrated in the cemetery.

At the Old Catholic Cemetery  You will see many monuments and tombstones that have survived to our time. They are made in the style of Baroque, Rococo and Classicism.
