Indian Holi festival of colors arrives in Rome

In India, one of the most ancient holidays of Hindu mythology is traditionally celebrated. The purpose of the celebration is to mark the beginning of the "season of colors", spring, when the flowers bloom again after a harsh winter.

The rules of the festival are simple: to walk around the city, play with colors and exchange peace symbols with family and friends. "Holi" also means "to burn": during the festival, the symbol of "evil" is necessarily burned in fire.

To date, the Holi Festival of Colors has gained recognition and popularity around the world, along with the American LIC festival (Life in Color, Life in Color) and the race Color runto be held on May 10, 2014 in Turin. In 2012, he literally conquered the inhabitants of Berlin, Dresden, Hanover and Monaco, who experienced an unprecedented feeling of unity and euphoria in a multicolored fog.

It all started on July 29, 2012 in Berlin, where about 3,500 people gathered to celebrate the first Holi Festival of Colors in Europe.

In that they created an incredible atmosphere. The Festival's group on Facebook began to grow, the media became interested in the idea, the spirit of the Festival captured the whole country. It is not surprising that similar events took place in Dresden, Hanover and Monaco on the same year on August 26, September 1 and 9. 11,000 event tickets sold out instantly.
