Walk to the Boé Peak in the Dolomites

Today is an interesting route to the Boé peak. It belongs to the Sella massif in the Dolomites. We will not climb to a height of 3152 meters, but 2.5 km is easy.

Every morning we enjoy views of the Dolomites from the balcony of our Hotel Monte Cherz . Just from him and begin today's walk in the mountains.

A dirt road uphill begins directly across the road from the hotel. Along the edges grows red currants and raspberries.

Full day itinerary from Hotel Monte Cherz . You can also reach it by arriving by cable car from Corvara, or by walking from Arabba at 637. Here is the bus stop Passo Campolongo Albergo Cherz. Bus 472 runs between Arabba and Corvara.

Route

The road leads to a cozy shop.

This is only the beginning of unearthly beauty. We continue to go higher to the Compolonga lift station.

By the way, if you are too lazy to get up or have little time, then get up on this lift in a few minutes. One way ticket costs € 4.70.

And we will go to the restaurant-shelter Refuge Bec de Roces (coordinates).

The menus and prices are standard.

Pleased with a second breakfast. They took apple strudel and Sacher cake.

On the lawn are benches for romantics. When there are no clouds, you can see Mount Marmolada about 3200 meters high.

We rise along the 636 route.

The path wags between stones and small pines. We turn off onto path 637.

Do not stop enjoying the surroundings. Now the height is about 2km. It is getting cooler.

Like most tracks in Italy, the road ends with the Rifugio Kostner restaurant (coordinates). After an hour's rise, I want to have lunch. I took Vienna schnitzel for € 13, Lena - delicious soup for € 8.

We had lunch with a stunning view at an altitude of 2550m. Marmolada Mountain sometimes peeks out over the horizon from behind the clouds.

At an altitude of 2.5 km there is almost no vegetation. But even higher is visible Piz Boé. The height of the mountains is about 3km.

So Piz Boé looks from Mount Marmolada. Photographed a few days ago. We got to the crease on the right between the greenery and the bald mountain.

Bottom valley with our hotel.

Take the next small section of the way down on foot or on the Vallon ski lift for € 5.10.

Getting down is easier. Along the way, you will pass the micro lake Lago Boè (coordinates).

Just below the lake, the Boé cable car station and restaurant :-) (coordinates). Bright yellow testicles scurry here and there. The descent to the city of Corvara in Badia costs € 9.40. In order not to spend a ton of money on lifts and cable cars, there is an Alta Badia Summer Card for 3 days for € 50. There are 14 lifts available on it. You can navigate the mountains like a ninja. Pay off for 4-6 trips.

Cute drinker for dogs.

And we go down below on foot along route 638. The map is marked in orange. A village restaurant with anime inhabitants hid in the forest.

Everything. Lowered down. The road exited to Hotel Boé . Here is the bus stop Passo Campolongo Alb. Boe '.

I would be glad if you also take a walk along our route. The road is of medium difficulty. Walk very slowly in 6 hours, and if you hurry up and use the lifts, you can manage in 2 hours.
